Short Course PR Racing SC-201 Carbon Rear Shock Absorber Turret

Rear shock absorber turret, made of carbon fiber, optional, for the PR-Racing SC201 chassis.

This rear turret directly replaces the original turret made of composite plastic included in the SC201 chassis assembly kit.

What advantages does this optional suspension turret offer for the SC201 chassis?

This optional turret is made of carbon fiber. Unlike the original turret, which is made of hardened plastic (composite), this optional part is much more resistant to impacts and shocks. Breaking the rear turret on a short course isn't easy, but it's not impossible either. These turrets are completely integrated into the bodywork, so they operate protected. Breakages usually occur due to rollovers and impacts with the car upside down. The body pillars that are attached to the suspension turret are what can break the part. Therefore, installing the carbon fiber turret will help stiffen the chassis.

On the other hand, this optional turret will have one more hole on each side for the upper attachment of the rear shock absorbers.

While the original turret allowed us to mount the shock absorbers in three different positions, this optional turret offers four possible mounting options. Modifying the shock absorber orientation allows us to play with the suspension geometry, altering the car's handling depending on the track, the tires we're using, and our driving style.
