Short Course PR Racing SC-201 rear axles with cardan shaft (2u)

Original replacement of the pair of rear axle shafts, made of steel, with cardan shaft, valid for the PR SC201, PR ST1, PR S1 V3T chassis, manufactured by PR Racing.

These axle shafts are identical to the original ones included in the chassis mounting kit mentioned, so we will use them as replacements for the originals.

It's worth noting that the threaded axles for the wheels are M6 size (thicker than on most other manufacturers' chassis). Therefore, breakage in this area is much less likely.

When should we replace the rear axle shafts on the SC2011?

In the SC201 chassis, the power is transmitted to the rear wheels via these drive shafts. They operate with cardan shafts at the ends, so there is virtually no power loss when the suspension is engaged.

Obviously, in case of breakage, we will have to replace the entire axle shaft. However, if we notice excessive play in any of the axle shafts, it is advisable to replace it as well, since they wear down and develop play, until they can break during a rough landing.

To extend the life of these axles, we can put grease inside the cardan shaft, which will greatly extend its useful life, as it will prevent the appearance of play between the components of said cardan shaft.
