Short Course PR Racing SC-201 Main Crown 83T

Original replacement for the main crown of 83T p48, made of composite, valid for the Short Course SC-201 PR-Racing chassis.

This crown is identical to the original 83T crown included in the SC-201 kit.

What precautions should we take when mounting this 83T sprocket on the SC-201?

Firstly, it's very important that you correctly fit the 83T sprocket to the motor pinion you're going to use. This sprocket operates at a 48 pitch, so we must ensure that the contact with the motor pinion has the correct clearance; that is, neither too far apart nor too close to the motor pinion.

Since the PR-Racing SC-201 racing chassis typically uses LiPo batteries and brushless motors, it's highly recommended that whenever you lengthen or increase the gear ratio (you can use motor pinions with different numbers of teeth), you monitor the motor temperature. If the temperature gets too high, you should adjust the gear ratio again, shortening the gearing. This will prevent problems with the motor or the electronic speed controller. The choice of the number of teeth for the 48-pitch motor pinion will depend on the motor you use and the characteristics of the track where you'll be using the SC-201 chassis.
