Short Course PR Racing SC-201 Aluminum Knuckle Carrier 5 caster

Optional black aluminum C-hubs with 5 degrees of caster for the PR Racing SC201 chassis. These C-hubs (or caster blocks) directly replace the original plastic C-hubs included in the SC201 kit.

These optional aluminum steering knuckle supports offer much greater robustness than the originals.

In addition to the two upper holes, which we will use for anchoring the upper front suspension arms, which the original steering knuckle holders also have, these steering knuckle holders give us 5 degrees of steering caster .

How does the caster on the front axle help us on the SC201 chassis?

We understand caster , or steering angle, to be the angle formed by the vertical of the steering wheel's rotation with the horizontal of the ground.

It's clear that changes to the caster adjustment also directly affect steering response. As we've already mentioned, these optional steering knuckles offer 5 degrees of caster , which will provide much greater stability on straights, in fast corners, and especially on bumpy tracks. In very slow corners, the chassis will tend to understeer. Furthermore, a higher degree of caster will slightly reduce the turning radius during deceleration, meaning the chassis will be much less twitchy and easier to handle.
