Short Course PR Racing SC-201 Aluminum Hexagons 12mm

Pair of aluminum wheel hexagons, silver in color, 12mm x 8mm, suitable for the PR-Racing SC201 chassis.

These two hexagons are identical to those included in the PR-Racing SC201 kit.

What is the function of these 12mm x 8mm hexagons on the SC201 chassis?

These two 12mm x 8mm hexagons are mounted on the rear wheels, and are responsible for transmitting the power coming from the rear differential through the axles to the two rear wheels.

This hexagon fits perfectly with this manufacturer's plastic rims, and those of many other manufacturers that also use 12mm hexagons. It is very important to fit the hexagon correctly to the rim, and also to properly tighten the nut that holds the rim in place.

When the wheel nut is not tightened properly or we have not correctly fitted the metal hexagon into the rim, we can damage the inside of the rim to the point that the wheel loses traction.

If the hexagon is deformed, it will damage the plastic rims we use on that wheel. For this reason, it's important to keep the hexagon in good condition.
