KO Propo Optional aluminum steering wheel

Original replacement steering wheel made of aluminum, originally included in the KO Propo EX-RR transmitter.

This steering wheel, compatible with KO Propo transmitters, is made of aluminum but weighs exactly the same as plastic steering wheels. It offers the rigidity of aluminum combined with a lightweight design. It includes a spacer disc that allows for separate adjustment of the steering stops on each side (right/left).

Furthermore, the main feature of this balance wheel is that it has a diameter 2mm smaller than the standard balance wheel (KO Propo EX-1/EX-II, EX-10 Helior/Eurus, etc.)

How does the diameter of the steering wheel affect the handling of our RC model?

The smaller diameter steering wheel on the transmitter allows for a much more direct steering feel. Using a smaller diameter wheel makes the car's reactions more abrupt and reactive, because with less hand movement to turn the wheel, we achieve the same turning radius.

When we use a steering wheel with a larger diameter, the opposite effect occurs, as we will need a longer movement of our hand when operating the steering wheel, in order to achieve the full rotation range of our chassis' steering.

Which transmitter models is this smaller diameter steering wheel compatible with?

This steering wheel is fully compatible only with transmitters manufactured by KO Propo. Therefore, it can be used with the following models: EX-RR, EX-1 KIY ASF/FHSS, EX-2, EX-10 Helios/Eurus, EX-1 UR/Mars-r/Mars, EX-5, as well as the Kyosho EX-6 and EX-6R.

In addition, the KIY Drop steering units and 3D Extension Unit can also mount this steering wheel.
