Gauge made of carbon fiber to measure the outer diameter of the tire (once mounted on the rim), for 1/28 scale wheels (Mini-Z).
This gauge (Type B) has a scale that measures from 23.6mm to 24.6mm in outer diameter, in intervals of 0.2mm.
When racing on high-grip foam tracks like RCP Track, the diameter of the front wheels is crucial. Using tires with too large a diameter will cause the car to tip over. That's why we shave down the tires, accelerating their wear, using a wheel lathe.
These gauges will allow us to adjust the optimal diameter of the front tires so that they work in the desired way.
